U.S. Taekwondo Center Master Your Full Potential

W.A.S.P. Self Defense at U.S. Taekwondo Center

W.A.S.P. stands for Women’s Awareness Survival Program. It was created by Mr. Dave Young, founder of U.S. Fighting Systems. Mr. Young has over 30 years experience training police and military all over the United States. W.A.S.P. is a non-martial arts self defense program and teaches the same field-proven strategies that Mr. Young uses in his training.

Are You Prepared?

In today’s world, it is not a matter of IF you will be faced with a threatening situation, it is a matter of when. W.A.S.P. is designed to instill personal safety and awareness everyday, not just if you are attacked. W.A.S.P. is not your average self defense course and goes beyond teaching physical techniques.

What Field-Proven Strategies Will You Learn?

  • Indicators to identify a threat
  • Transitions and Movement when a threat presents itself
  • Exit Strategies to avoid a threat
  • Power Development and Fight Fitness if a threat becomes physical

Don’t let the name fool you, this program is for men AND women ages 13 and older. No one is immune to violence. We encourage couples, families, and teens to take the course together.

Please check back for more information on the next W.A.S.P. Seminar.
